The International Workers Day has its roots in the general strike for an 8-hour working day that led to the Haymarket massacre in Chicago in 1886.

Fighting against colonial powers and their expansion inthe global south is intertwined with resisting the exploitation of the working class by capital. Israel, as a western settler colonial project, is the ultimate product of capitalism. It is ethnically cleansing the Palestinian people to exploit their land, bodies, natural gas, water, trees, crops and all their resources. All to the benefit of the bourgeois capitalist corporations making profits of it. The force exploiting the workers is the same force oppressing the global south and is the same force depriving Palestinians of their humanity on daily basis.

Join us for the revolutionary 1st of May protest at Südstern, where we stand up against the capitalist war machine currently committing genocide in Gaza and affecting millions globally. A warning to all that this protest may not be ideal for children and vulnerable members of our community as we will likely face police violence.

Palestinian trade unions issue an urgent global call to action, calling on workers everywhere to halt the sale and funding of arms to Israel — and related military research.

The motto of the demo this year is:

"Expropriate corporations! Disarm warmongers! Smash capitalism! Join the revolutionary May 1st!"

On the day of struggle for workers, we take to the streets, as our class siblings did 100 years ago.

Last year, the war atmosphere in Germany and EU only intensified: they are spending billions on arms and the war propaganda of the Bundeswehr and are responsible for suffering and murder worldwide.

From Ukraine, Yemen, and Congo to Kurdistan and Palestine – bombs are falling on workers and their children everywhere. Israeli officers speak with shameful callousness about "exterminating animals" while the Israeli army bombs hospitals and shoots at crowds waiting for aid deliveries. Around 40,000 murdered Palestinians also put the German government on trial, which increases arms shipments to Israel and suppresses Palestine solidarity at home with massive repression, restricting basic rights such as freedom of assembly.

Wir wollen eine Welt, die nach den Bedürfnissen der großen Mehrheit organisiert ist und nicht nach den Profitinteressen weniger Kapitalist:innen. Gegen das Europa des Kapitals kämpfen wir für einen antikapitalistischen, antiimperialistischen und sozialistischen Ausweg.

Wir rufen alle Arbeiter:innen Frauen, Jugendliche, Migrant:innen und LGBTI+ Personen auf am 1. Mai mit uns auf die Straße zu gehen!

Kommt alle am 1. Mai 2024 zum Südstern in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Ab 16:30 Uhr gibt es ein Konzert, um 17:30 die Bündniskundgebung und um 18:00 Uhr startet die Demo.

Wir sehen heute, wie auf der ganzen Welt das Leid unserer Klasse wächst! Von der Ukraine, über den Jemen und Kongo, bis nach Kurdistan und Palästina – überall fallen Bomben auf Arbeiter:innen, und ihre Kinder. Ein Ende der Kriegstreiberei ist nicht in Sicht. Auch Deutschland verdient Milliarden mit Waffenlieferungen, rüstet das eigene Militär auf und unterdrückt Solidaritätsbewegungen im Inland. Gehen wir am 1. Mai in Solidarität mit den Unterdrückten und Ausgebeuteten auf die Straße!

Nuevamente un primero de Mayo signado por la represión, la guerra y la demonización de les migrantes. Nuevamente un primero de Mayo en donde los principales poderes mundiales apoyan un genocidio en el sur global. Nuevamente un primero de Mayo en donde los líderes del mundo cantan a coro la canción de la guerra global. Nuevamente un primero de Mayo donde el 1% de la población posee más del 50% de las riquezas del mundo…

Vivimos un momento de refundación a la acción política popular y de izquierda, las organizaciones que supimos construir darán paso a nuevas más efectivas y mejor estructuradas para la tarea histórica que tenemos frente a nosotres. Pero la tarea del momento es comprometerse al análisis de esta realidad que nos toca vivir, organizar la lucha y crear herramientas políticas al servicio de los intereses del pueblo…

Der 1. Mai ist ein Kampftag für die Interessen der arbeitenden Klasse – Krieg kann niemals dazu gehören.

Große Teile der angeblichen deutschen „Linken“ in Regierung und Gewerkschaften stehen in der Tradition der Sozialdemokratie und ihres Verrates über alle großen Kriege hinweg. Wir müssen die antimilitaristische Traditionslinie der revolutionären Arbeiter:innenbewegung wieder aufgreifen.

Nur wenn wir uns organisieren, haben wir damit Erfolg.

In diesem Sinne schreiten wir in den revolutionären 1. Mai!
